We are a Jesus-ruled, elder-led, and
congregationally-responsible church.
Jesus is our "senior pastor" and chief-shepherd.
Elders are "under-shepherds." They are to be called by God, biblically-qualified, confirmed by the church, and have a desire to love and serve.
All members of our congregation are responsible for building a healthy church.
The Bible commands all believers to help others follow Jesus (discipleship), to speak the truth in love, to build up their faith, and to use their gifts to the glory of God and for the good of His people.

Grant WalkerPastor/Elder of Preaching and VisionPastor Grant is responsible for providing overall vision and direction for FCC according to God's leading. He serves as the primary preacher, helps oversee corporate worship gatherings, and guides city group direction and rhythms.
In addition to his pastoral role, Grant works as a physician assistant at Johnson Memorial Hospital two days a week. He has been married to Brittany for 11 years, and they have four sons: Jaxon, Jaymin, Jordy, and Joel. A favorite verse: 1 Peter 5:5 - "...Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for 'God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.'" This verse is a constant warning and encouragement to me to pursue God’s glory and not my own. I desire this to be a continual prayer for me as I strive to be a humble servant leader for my family and our church. |
Gary WalkerPastor/Elder of Shepherding and EngagementPastor Gary is responsible for overseeing hospitality, assimilation of new attendees, general care of the body, and assisting with the teaching and preaching ministry of the church. He also spends time with other pastors in the area and develops relationships with other groups in the community.
Gary and his wife, Sharon, have been married for 43 years. They met through the Navigator Ministry at Ball State. They have three children and seven grandchildren. Sharon is a retired Special Education teacher and helps with the Kids Ministry at Franklin City Church. Gary balances his time between church, working around their property, and spending time with his grandkids. He also enjoys swimming and working out, which gives him opportunity to meet new people and share about his faith in Christ. A favorite verse: John 3:30 – “He must increase, but I must decrease.” John the Baptist is talking about Jesus being the focus of people’s attention and not himself. This verse challenges me to always put Jesus first in my life and live for His glory and not my own. |
Carly CoryFCC Kids LeaderCarly is responsible for overseeing the FCC Kids curriculum and volunteers, as well as helping to cast vision for FCC Kids as it grows.
Carly has been happily married to her husband Devon for 12 years. She is an elementary teacher turned stay-at-home mom of 4 kids: an 8 year-old daughter, 6 year-old son, and 3 year-old boy/girl twins. Her passion for teaching and love of children is what excites her to lead this ministry and walk alongside these special little ones, the future of the church! A favorite verse: My favorite chapter of the Bible is Romans 8. I remember memorizing much of Romans as a child, and around age 9, Romans 8:31-39 really resonated with me - especially verse 32: “He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?” I remember the gospel becoming personal to me through this verse! |
Don and Cyndi HarringtonHospitality LeadersDon and Cyndi's primary responsibility is to help facilitate a heart within FCC to show the love of God to everyone. This includes overseeing greeters, set up prep, and special events.
Cyndi has been a Property Claims Adjuster for 20+ years with GuideOne Insurance. She enjoys playing with her grandchildren, staying active by running and bicycling, crafting, and working in the yard with her flowers and plants. Don has been helping buyers and sellers in Real Estate for over 25 years. He enjoys meeting 1-on-1 with other brothers in Christ, wood working, music, movies, and exploring new things. The Harringtons desire to visit a lot of the National Parks in the US. The Harringtons describe themselves as best friends and between them, they have four children and 12 grandchildren. A favorite verse: Psalm 19:14: "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer." This reminds me that what I say and think is known by God, and I want to please Him. It helps me stay focused on positive thoughts; on words that build up rather than tear down. |
Joshua CodispotiWorship DirectorJoshua is responsible for overseeing the worship ministry, which includes helping plan corporate worship gatherings, leading our team of musicians and vocalists, and ensuring the songs we sing are theologically sound and beneficial for the church.
Joshua has been married to Sarah since 2011, and they have three children: Israel, Jericho and Zion. He is a Critical Care Paramedic and Operations Supervisor for an Indiana air/ground medical transport company. He enjoys family, surfing (obviously not from IN), extreme sports, coffee, supercell thunderstorms and dead puritans. John Owen is his homeboy. A favorite verse: Jude 24-25 - “Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen” Before coming to a true understanding of the gospel of Jesus in my place, my fully sufficient gift righteousness, I was miserably enslaved in a legalistic effort to secure my own righteousness; always striving, never secure. Coming to the biblical understanding that God himself not only initiated my salvation, but is active and primary in the completion of it, resulted in liberty and joy that changed everything. Secondly, I love the pattern for worship that this verse exemplifies - that actively remembering specific theological realities and promises of God stir up and inflame informed praise to and affections for God. This is key in our rhythm of worship at Franklin City Church. |
Kevin GoodExecutive Pastor/ElderKevin is responsible for overseeing the administrative elements of FCC. This includes financial oversight, general operations, and establishing policies and procedures that allow us to carry out the mission and vision of the church.
Kevin has been married to Alyssa for 10 years, and they have 4 children: 3 daughters and 1 son. He is an entrepreneur who enjoys the strategy behind running businesses. He also enjoys playing sports, is a self-proclaimed geography nerd, and prefers eating french fries in pairs. A favorite verse: Psalm 37:4-5: "Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act." This gives me peace because it not only defines where my source of hope and sustenance comes from, but gives me a "strategy" for how to experience God's love: focus on delighting in Him instead of myself, and then my desires will reflect His desires for me. Commit my way to Him, and HE will act. I don't have to do things on my own or in my own strength, but instead I need to rest in Him, and he will help me act according to His strength. |
