Franklin City Church PO box 275 Franklin, IN 46131 An online giving option will be available soon. Hey everybody, I hope you are enjoying the holiday weekend. Here are some updates and reminders for you. 1. We have a logo! The logo was graciously, thoughtfully, and skillfully designed by Zach Frizzell from City Life. The logo is an "F" for Franklin that is angled or "kneeling" to Christ's authority and pointing vertically to God. The three lines and symmetry of the perimeter remind us of the Trinity. It can also be viewed as a mountain or hilltop reminding us of Calvary's "Hill" and that whatever we are to do as a church is only possible because of what Christ has already accomplished on the cross. This logo summarizes our prayer for the city of Franklin. That our gaze would be directed up to God. That our hearts would bow to the Lordship of Christ. And that by the power of the Spirit we would be transformed as the gospel is proclaimed. 2. We are meeting every Tuesday Night @6:30 Thanks to everyone who came out last week. It was a great time to begin growing in our understanding of what the gospel is, what it does in us, and what it does through us. I would encourage you to come join us if you are available Tuesday nights. "The Gear" 230 Commerce Dr. Franklin, IN 46131 3. TBD Launch Date Sunday September 10th @10:30am Keep praying for Franklin and Franklin City Church, Pastor Grant Gospel Planters,
Tomorrow @6:30 @The Gear we will be gathering for a time of worship, teaching, discussion, and prayer as we seek to be a people focused on the gospel who desire to see Christ transform the city. No reading or prep is necessary. Great time to jump in if you haven't been able to make any of our gatherings yet. Just show up Tuesday at 6:30. We will have childcare for kindergarten and younger. Older kids are welcome to join. We will see you there. Pastor Grant Hey everybody, We will be meeting Tuesday, May 16th @6:30 at the location where our church plant will be starting. If you haven't been able to make it to a church plant gathering yet, this would be a great one to attend. Also, it's a great night to invite anyone you know that might be interested in planting with us. "The Gear" 230 Commerce Drive Franklin, IN 46131 The plan for tomorrow is to share...
I encourage everyone to come hear more about the church plant and the direction God is leading us. We are asking for volunteers to help care for the kids during our Tuesday night gatherings. We would like to provide childcare for children under kindergarten age (babies, toddlers, preschoolers). We ask parents with kids kindergarten age and older to keep them with you during our meetings. Certainly, you can bring activities for them (coloring books, toys, games) if you would like. At this point, with the amount of kids we have, we can't commit to watching the older kids unless we have plenty of people volunteer to help watch them. In order to make it possible to care for the pre-kindergarten children, we need many volunteers who can serve on a rotation. Moms, dads, and those without kids, we are asking YOU. Would you be willing to volunteer to care for kids on an occasional Tuesday? Gospel Planters,
Reminder: Tuesday night at 6:30 we will be meeting for a time of prayer. We will meet at Gary and Sharon's House! 1371 N 400 E Franklin, IN 46131 See you there, Pastor Grant Gospel Planters,
Thank you for coming out Tuesday! Jaxon and I are feeling better so thank you for the prayers. I wanted to give everyone a heads up that we will be meeting next Tuesday night at 6:30 for a focused time of prayer. I will send communication out in the next few days about location. We will likely either meet at "The Gear" or at Pastor Gary and Sharon's house again. "The condition of the church may be very accurately gauged by its prayer meetings. So is the prayer meeting a grace-ometer, and from it we may judge of the amount of divine working among a people. If God be near a church, it must pray. And if He be not there, one of the first tokens of His absence will be a slothfulness in prayer!" Charles H. Spurgeon Hey everybody,
